Neurologie

De vakgroep neurologie in het ASz bestaat uit onderstaande neurologen. De vakgroep heeft sinds 1994 een perifere deelopleiding.
Naast de assistent in opleiding zijn er meestal 7-8 niet opleidingsassistenten neurologie aanwezig.

Verder bestaat ons team uit drie physician assistants en specialistisch verpleegkundigen (MS, Parkinson, dementie en CVA nazorg).
We participeren in de opleiding van co-assistenten uit het EMC. Op de klinische afdeling in Dordrecht is een stroke unit aanwezig
(8 bedden). Twee neurologen participeren actief in het Slaap Waak Centrum. Verder zijn onze aandachtsgebieden cerebrovasculaire ziekten, kinderneurologie, MS, bewegingsstoornissen (Parkinson en botulinetoxine behandelingen) en dementie.

Wij hebben een onderzoekslijnen op het gebied van vasculaire neurologie en multiple sclerose met vier promovendi.
